Thanks for following LGBTicons.com
Last week we turned 1 year old and as such I wanted to personally thank everyone that has interacted with, contributed to and shared any of our stuff this past year.
Over the past 365 days, our following on WordPress, Twitter and Facebook has slowly but surely grown and we now have a loyal army of people accessing our stories and spreading the word. This is largely due to the wonderfully versatile writing on offer from Josef Church-Woods, Louise Oliver, Cragg Stromo, Michael Burge, Neil Pearson, Kevin Kimber, Christopher Banks & Joey Woww.
We’ve also made some great allies in Queerlandia who are always on the ball and offer brilliant content to re-blog when we’ve been distracted by our day jobs.
If you’re new to the site, you can find out all about the team here.
We are always looking for content; so if you have something to say that you think is of interest to or about the LGBT community let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
Likewise, if there’s an LGBTicon that you think we should know about.
You can follow us on Twitter @LGBTicons – #LGBTicons
‘Like’ us on Facebook
…and if you’re old-school, you can email us on LGBTicons@gmail.com
Thanks again for being part of our journey.
Barry Church-Woods lives in Edinburgh with his same sex life partner Josef. He works for the largest arts festival in the world and enjoys nothing more than spending a cosy night in listening to Madonna while drinking martinis so dirty they make you blush. In 2010 he founded The Big C to raise funds for cancer charities across the UK. He secretly wants to be a pop star, but has a voice that can toast bread, an ‘ironic’ face and a body that could never keep up.
