On Bisexuality and Coming Out of the Closet


At the end of the day we write our own stories. We are responsible for the truth we return to, the truth that can ground us or leave us unsettled or even destroy us.

I have been cautious with my truth and quite frankly for fear of what people would think, not entirely upfront.

I grew up in the church, of the evangelical sort. I grew up thinking that a lot of things were “sins” that I know now are just normal parts of everyday life, like Harry Potter or the old MTV or rock music or rated R movies and sex and gay people.
